Pre-Diabetes occurs when a person’s blood sugar is higher than normal but not classified as diabetes. People with Pre-Diabetes are more likely than people with “normal” blood sugar to develop diabetes in the next 10 years and also are more likely to have a heart attack or stroke. The good news is the development of diabetes can be delayed or prevented by increasing exercise, losing weight ( even a small amount really helps) , and eating a healthy diet.
